Sustainability 🌍
Embarking on a journey towards a more sustainable future, we are tackling the environmental challenges within the fashion industry head-on. Our mission is to educate and inspire change, fostering a reduced impact on the planet through conscious choices.
Fibre Production: Choosing Wisely for the Earth 🌍Delve into your care label, and you'll unveil the materials shaping your clothes. From polyester and cotton to viscose, each fibre carries a distinct environmental story. We are mindful of their impacts, acknowledging that conventional practices often entail fossil fuels, extensive water usage, and chemical-intensive processes and we do our best to minimise on this.
Clothing Production: Crafting with a ConscienceThe journey from fibres to fashion involves spinning, knitting, or weaving, followed by cutting, sewing, and finishing. The energy-intensive nature of this process prompts us to explore sustainable alternatives. Dyeing, a crucial step, undergoes scrutiny for chemical intensity and water consumption, with waste treatment ensuring responsible discharge. this why we always check our suppliers background before taking them on board.
Transportation & Selling: Navigating a Sustainable PathFrom our suppliers to our warehouses, and finally to our customers, the journey of our clothes raises environmental considerations. Carbon emissions accompany road, rail, sea, and air transport, prompting us to seek eco-friendly solutions that minimize our ecological footprint. We always encourage and opt for environment friendly vehicles for these journeys.
Wearing & Washing: Balancing Style with ResponsibilityAs our clothes reach our customers, the responsibility shifts to their care. Wear and washing cycles contribute to a carbon impact, accentuated by water and chemical use in laundry. Microfiber release during washing also guides our focus on sustainable practices throughout a garment's life.
After Use: Redefining End-of-Life ScenariosConscious consumption doesn't end with wear. We encourage customers to explore various avenues for their clothing after use, promoting donation, swapping, downcycling, or resale. By extending the lifespan of garments, we collectively reduce landfill and incineration impacts.
Packaging: Balancing Protection with ResponsibilityUnderstanding the critical role packaging plays in preserving the quality of our products, we acknowledge the concern surrounding plastic usage. While our brands currently utilise plastic for its logistical benefits, we are actively transitioning. Our dispatch bags already incorporate recycled content, and we are committed to making all our packaging reusable, recyclable, or compostable with over 50% recycled content. Optimising packaging to use less material is a key focus, aligning with our commitment to sustainable practices.
